Day 18

Day of the Demonstration

On 13 September, the day I had been waiting for had arrived. Today is my demonstration day, the mentors from the school and the mentors from Lampang Rajabhat University will come to observe my class. Before I started my teaching practice, we took a photos together.

Today is considered very important for both my students and me, creating a sense of honor. I deliberately chose the university uniform to boost my confidence because, for me, today is not only special but also crucial. Together, my students and I greeted the morning to start the day well. The topic of today's lesson is time duration and timetable. I use a PowerPoint presentation as a learning medium with the cooperative learning approach called Numbered Head Together (NHT)..

After I explain, I ask the group leader to take the head number, student worksheet, and instructions. Then I let them practice through group activities to give them the concept of working together and helping each other to complete the task. Finally, I call out the students with the head numbers I want and explain and summarize what they have learnt today.

At the end of the lesson, I feel satisfied with this lesson because I have prepared it well and I tried to do everything I could. I then hear comments and suggestions from the mentor teacher about this session. For me, this is a time that I am very interested in because it helps me to see my shortcomings and limitations so that I can develop better. I was very happy to hear that the mentor teacher liked the lesson.

After class, my mentor teacher and I were going to have lunch together at a café. But before that, my mentor teacher had to go to Banpongsanook School to assess my friend, Shaina. Then, about 40 minutes later my mentor teacher picked me up in front of the school fence and we had lunch together at Wiang Nuea they ordered a lot of food and my favourite was shrimp and eggs, it was so good 😉 not only lunch we were also invited to one of coffee shop and as always I always order thaitea.

Thank you Ma'am Pimpaka and Ma'am Nipa.
