Day 16, 17

 The third week has come

The third week has arrived, on 11 September 2023 I have two classes to teach today grade 4/1 and 4/2 Mini English Program. I will be teaching the first lesson in grade 4/1 on the chapter of time, for the first meeting I explained about the relationship between units of time.

Today's emotions are challenging to put into words; I am both thrilled and somewhat anxious. The excitement stems from achieving my primary goal upon joining Sea-Teacher – improving my English skills, handling a class, challenging myself, and acquiring valuable teaching experience. Simultaneously, there's a sense of concern as I embark on my first lesson at Anuban Lampang. When I explained to my students that they should refrain from taking selfies during class using my phone and encouraged them to focus on the lesson, suggesting they take pictures during break time, my hope was that they would comprehend and find enjoyment in my class. Below is their selfie, haha...

I couldn't even get mad at that moment because it was so cute 💓

This first lesson really worried me, but thanks to Teacher Vin's help and the cooperation of the students, I was able to complete my lesson. Through this lesson, I was able to learn from my experience; teaching methods, I should provide abstract knowledge in the simplest way so that students can easily understand, and use instructions more smoothly. Thanks to the experience gained from grade 4/1, I was able to easily complete my lesson in grade 4/2.

On 12 September, I continued my journey to gain experience. I practiced my classroom management skills for both classes. The students were very enthusiastic and learnt very well. This was an exciting day for me. Because tomorrow is my demonstration day with my mentor from LPRU. So, before closing the lesson, I divided the students into five groups, Teacher Vin helped me explain to them that my mentor was coming tomorrow and asked them to work together. Teacher Vin also helped me choose group leaders for each group. In the evening, I made head numbers for the students to use in tomorrow's lesson and I prepared gifts of key chains that I prepared from Indonesia for each group.
