Day 0-1: My Journey to Thailand

My Journey to Thailand  

    Hello, everyone! 

    This will be the story of my journey to Thailand in the SEAMEO SEA-Teacher program. First, I went to Surabaya on September 26th 2023. I went to Juwata Airport with my family.

    There, I met my friends and lecturers, and one of my friends, Mega. Mega and I are delegates from the University of Borneo Tarakan and we will spend a whole month together in Thailand. Here is a picture of me, my friends and my lecturer.

    After landed to Surabaya, we need to wait for about 1 hour in Juanda International Airport for the next flight to Jakarta. Before leaving, I bought drinks and bread for breakfast. After that, I arrived in Jakarta at 10:50 a.m. and we need to wait for about 6 hour in Soekarna-Hatta Airport for the next flight to Bangkok. 

    Upon arrival in Jakarta, we waited for our luggage, checked in, and went through immigration for our next flight, Thailand. After that, Mega and I had lunch together. I bought chicken, and I loved it

    After that, continued the flight to Thailand and after 3 and a half hours flying. Finally we landed in Bangkok at 8.30 in the evening.

    When I arrived at the airport, I went to meet Ma'am Ying, because I was picked up by Ma'am Ying, and we took a selfie together. Then Ma'am Ying book a taxi and went to another airport, because we had to drop off  Thai students who were leaving for the Philippines. After that, we went to the hotel and rested at 11pm. There is another friend of us in Bangkok too. They're from Philippines, they name is JM and Tracy. 

    The next day on August 27th 2023, I'm still in Bangkok and waiting for my friends from the University of Malang and other students from the Philippines who have not yet arrived. At 11am, my friends from the Philippines and I had lunch together at a market close the hotel until 1pm and then returned to the hotel. 

    In the afternoon, all my friends from University of Malang and Filipino friends who had arrived in Bangkok and went to Chatuchak Market together, we bought a lot of souvenirs and returned to the hotel at 8pm.

 

    So, that was how I spend my first day in Bangkok, Thailand.
