Day 24

Final Presentation at Lampang Rajabhat University

On 20 September 2023, we got permission not to go to school this morning because we had to get ready for the final presentation at Lampang Rajabhat University at noon. The closing ceremony at Lampang Rajabhat University was attended by supervising teachers from the university, representative teachers from the four schools, and us "Sea-Teacher" warriors.

The ceremony started with an introduction from Ma'am Ying. Next we were divided into four groups of 2-4 interns, Ma'am Ying asked us to write the group name on a paper and then randomly pick them up in order. The first group was from Bangpongsanook, the second group from Sports School, the third group from Anuban Lampang School, and the fourth group from Demonstration School to report on the experiences we had gained during our almost one-month internship in Lampang, Thailand. Our team members took turns reporting on our experiences and expressed our deepest gratitude to all the teachers who had helped us during the internship.

Then, comments from the supervising teachers and representative teachers from each school. We also introduced our homeland, university, and musical performances with traditional customs from both countries, namely Indonesia and the Philippines. Me and my fellow girls from Indonesia performed the Wonderful Indonesia dance, it was my first time dancing and I felt very proud of myself and also a little embarrassed 😆.

Next was a sharing session with around 100 students of Lampang Rajabhat University. In this session each country was only represented by 2 students, for Indonesia was represented by me from University of Borneo Tarakan and Raihan from Malang University, it felt very happy and proud when we had the opportunity to share about our country, university, lifestyle, and more with friends from the Philippines and Thailand with the theme "Hot issues and lifestyle of Southeast Asian students in the 21st century". Today I felt proud to see them dance and hear friends from the Philippines and Thailand share about their countries and universities.

The last session of the event was the presentation of certificates of SEA-Teacher participants including LPRU accompanying students by Ma'am Ying. We also met the president of LPRU and he gave us a glass as a memento, and I felt very honoured.

In the evening, we were invited by Ma'am Ying and her staff to have dinner together and tasted Thai specialities such as sticky rice, papaya salad, and many more but I can't remember the names.   All activities today ended at 8pm, we were driven home by mini bus and arrived at the dormitory at 8.30pm, this day was very fun, I enjoyed all the moments before returning to my country.
