Day 5, 6

 Gain More Experience

    On Thursday 31 August 2023, in the morning I attended the flag ceremony and I got new information that it turns out that the Mini English Program (MEP) students in grades 4/1 and 4/2 attend the ceremony on the field every Thursday, and the other days attend the ceremony in front of the class. So, that day I attended the ceremony on the school field. 

Flag Ceremony 

    After the ceremony, students are required to wash their hands in a place provided by the school before entering the classroom. At this meeting, students were still learning about combined operations, and Vin's teacher asked me to help students in class. So, in the first week, I did teaching assistance with teacher Vin in two classes. After that, I was also allowed to do observations in other subjects, and this helped me to recognize the characteristics of each different subject in the hope that I could get closer to the students, and other teachers.   

    The next day, 1 September 2023. As usual every morning at Anuban Lampang School we had a ceremony and sang together. Today we also attended the ceremony on the school field with Ma'am Aoy and the students of grades 5/1 and 5/2. During the ceremony speech, Ma'am Aoy took us to the podium to introduce ourselves, and our purpose at this school. The introductions started with Teacher Dave, who is a new teacher from South Africa, followed by my friend Tracy, and finally me. Everyone here is very friendly and happy to welcome us.  

    After that, I went to class and received homework from my mentor teacher, Teacher Vin. Teacher Vin gave me the teaching material and the material I got was about time, and Teacher Vin asked me to start making a lesson plan. Then, I borrowed the maths book that Teacher Vin used in teaching to help me make the lesson plan.
